Policy and Guidance

Advisory Circulars and Factsheets are types of supporting information issued by DASA to promote understanding of, and compliance with, the DASR.

The Defence Aviation Safety Program (DASP) Manual is issued by the Defence Aviation Authority to provide policy and guidance for the administration and implementation of the DASP.

The Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR) is published within Volume 2 of the DASP Manual and includes Acceptable Means of Compliance and Guidance Material.

Recognition of other civil and military aviation authorities by DASA promotes flexibility and interoperability.

The Defence Aviation Safety Design Requirements Manual (DASDRM) identifies acceptable design standards for the certification of aviation platforms, systems and facilities.

The Policy Development section includes Notices of Proposed Amendment, Comment Response Documents and the DASA Policy Roadmap.
