Introduction
The aerodrome manual represents an accurate record of the aerodrome facilities and operating procedures that underpins the safe and effective use of an aerodrome. To get approval to operate an Aerodrome, the Aerodrome Operator must demonstrate that all facilities and procedures are available to operate a certified aerodrome safely. As such an Aerodrome Operator seeking addition of an Aerodrome to the Operation Specification, must submit a compliant aerodrome manual as evidence supporting a compliance statement.
Further guidance and information on the aerodrome manual and its relationship to the organisation approval can be provided by the Authority to help support the applicant.
What We Do
The DASA will review the compliance statement and the aerodrome manual. If sufficiently satisfied the aerodrome manual complies with requirements amongst other things the DASA will be in a position to approve the addition of the aerodrome to the Aerodrome Operator Operational Specification.
How Do I Apply?
Application for aerodrome manual approval is a part of the DASR 139.30 – aerodrome regulations compliance statement. See web page Requirements for Aerodrome Operator Approval for details about the compliance statement.
