Introduction
All Defence UAS must operate in accordance with the requirements and limitations of DASR UAS. There are three categories of UAS operations under DASR UAS; Certified, Specific, and Open.
DASR UAS does not require UAS to operate within a fixed category from acquisition. Rather, any UAS that meets all the requirements of a given category may be operated in that category.
What We Do
The flowchart below can be used to determine the correct category for intended UAS operations. Where the UAS category is unclear or disputed, the Authority will make the determination.
